What should I do right now?
Stop using water, keep everyone away from the mess, and call us.
- Stop all water use
No flushing, showers, dishwasher or laundry. Turn off the irrigation if it runs near the tank.
- Keep people and pets clear
Sewage carries bacteria. Don't try to clean it up barehanded.
- Find the tank lids if it's safe
Clear snow, gravel or clutter off them. It gets us working faster.
- Don't pour in drain cleaner
Chemical cleaners rarely fix a septic backup and can harm the tank and our crew.
Is it an emergency?
What counts as a septic emergency?
Sewage coming up inside
Into a tub, shower, floor drain or toilet.
Sewage pooling in the yard
Over the tank, the lids or the drain field.
Nothing drains anywhere
Every fixture in the house is backed up or stopped.
Slow drains and gurgling
Not an emergency yet, but don't wait for it to become one. Book a pump.
Equipped for it
Pump, jet or snake, in one trip
Emergencies aren't always a full tank. Sometimes it's a clogged line between the house and the tank. Our trucks carry pumping gear plus hydro jetting and power snaking equipment, so we can usually clear whatever we find without a second visit.

When it went wrong, we showed up
“My septic got a clog late on a Friday night. Saturday morning I called and ranch country had their home septic driver on the way to me in less than an hour. They had a hydro jetter mounted on the truck and were able to get everything taken care of.”
“I had this company come pump a home septic tank and power snake a line for my elderly grandparents, they were very punctual, reasonable priced and great to work with! They were able to get my grandparents back up and running in no time, the driver was fantastic and explained the process and was incredibly helpful about making sure we were taken care of.”
“We bought an old fixer upper house and the tank was full of sludge and hadn’t been pumped for 15-20 years. Ranch country came out. They arrived right on the scheduled time and they had all the right tools in their truck to do the job right and quickly.”
FAQ
Emergency septic FAQ
Don't see your question? Call (541) 648-7114 and ask a real person.
Do you charge more for nights and weekends?
Ask when you call. We'll tell you the price before we roll a truck, so there's no surprise on the bill either way.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on where you are in Central Oregon and what else is on the board. Call and we'll give you an honest arrival window on the phone.
Is it safe to stay in the house if sewage backed up?
Keep people and pets away from the affected area, don't touch sewage with bare hands, and ventilate if you can. If sewage has reached living spaces, you may want a cleanup company after the line is cleared.
Can I use the toilet if it's draining slowly?
Try not to. Every flush adds water to a system that isn't draining. Stop using water until we've found the problem.
